Two Teens Arrested After Metro Assault

Two 15-year-olds were arrested on felony charges Thursday after assaulting another juvenile aboard a Green Line train Feb. 5.

The two teens were taken into police custody after D.C. Superior Court issued a juvenile custody order.

According to the complaint, the teens, a boy and a girl, were traveling with a group of juveniles when they surrounded the victim. They punched and kicked the victim, who knew her attackers, as the train traveled between Gallery Place and Shaw-Howard stations.

The victim exited the train at Shaw-Howard station and was met by Transit Police officers. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
