Pedestrian Confirmed Dead in Two-Vehicle Crash

A pedestrian is dead and another injured following a two-vehicle crash at Rhode Island Avenue and 12th Street N.E. this morning, police have confirmed.

The accident involved a car and a pickup truck. The car was seen in the middle of the intersection with its front end damaged. The pickup truck was seen in a front yard. At least one of the vehicles seemed to have skidded over the sidewalk and over a two-foot brick wall.

The pedestrians had been on the sidewalk at the time of the accident.
