Officials said two construction workers suffered non-life threatening injuries in a fire reported at the construction site of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases.

Crews responded to Fort Detrick at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for a fire. Two contractors working at the site were hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
