Two Injured After Police Cruiser Collision

A Metropolitan Police Department officer was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

Just before 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, the police cruiser collided in a front-end accident with a vehicle at 18th and E Streets NW. The vehicle was pushed up onto the sidewalk. The driver's side of the vehicle was struck, and officials had to extricate the driver.

Both the officer and the civilian driver went to the hospital. There is no information at this time on their conditions.
