Two Hospitalized After Early-Morning Fight

    A fight in Northwest has landed two men in the hospital.

    Two men were in the hospital this morning after a series of assaults in northwest Washington.

    About 2:30 a.m. Thursday, two men got into a fight near the intersection of 19th and M streets, police said. At some point during the fight, the men ran into another man riding a bike. The bicyclist was knocked to the ground and unconscious.

    The fight then continued and ultimately ended with one of the men unresponsive on the ground. He was taken to The George Washington University Hospital, and his injuries are considered serious. The man on the bike was also take to GW but is expected to be fine.

    The other man involved in the fight was found several blocks away and taken into custody for questioning. There was no word on any charges.
