Police Seek Thieves on Bicycles in NW D.C.

Police said thieves on Monday night fled on bicycles after a robbery at 11th and S streets in the Northwest.

Weekend of Robberies in NW DC

Five separate robbery incidents took place over the weekend in northwest D.C., including two in which suspects escaped on bicycle.

D.C. police are looking for two different groups wanted for a rash of robberies in Northwest in the past 48 hours.
 
The latest happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday night on 11th and S Streets.  Two men approached the victim and threatened injury.  The victim turned over a cell phone and wallet to the suspects, who escaped on bicycles, according to police.  The victim was not harmed.

That robbery followed a number of robberies from over the weekend in the U Street - Logan Circle - Dupont Circle area.

Police say one group of robbers is believed to be two suspects armed with a gun.

The second group is believed to be a younger group on bicycles.
