Two D.C. residents have been charged in the death of their infant daughter after the baby died of malnutrition and trauma on Christmas Day.
Seven-week-old Trinity Jabore was pronounced dead on Dec. 25 after police were called to an apartment on Galveston Place SW.
On Friday, Trischelle Jabore, 26, and Jay Crowder, 33, were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service's fugitive task force in the D.C. area. The Southwest D.C. residents both were charged with first-degree murder.
Police responded to the unit block of Galveston Place SW about noon Christmas Day for a report of an unresponsive infant. When they arrived, they found the baby unconscious.
Paramedics took Trinity to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
On April 3, a medical examiner determined the infant died of malnutrition and hyponatremia, which occurs when sodium levels in the blood are too low. Trauma to the body was her secondary cause of death.
At her time of death, Trinity weighed 4 pounds, 4 ounces, according to court documents.

Crowder and Jabore lived in the apartment with Jabore's 1-year-old, 5-year-old and sometimes Crowder's 8-year-old, court documents show. Crowder told police he tried to be a good parent but that parenthood didn't come with instructions.
Information on Crowder's and Jabore's lawyers was not available immediately.
Crowder and Jabore are being held without bond and a hearing has been set for May 22.
