Two Bodies Recovered from Patapsco River

Baltimore fire officials said two bodies have been recovered from the Patapsco River near Port Covington following a report of two men missing in the water.

Fire department spokesman Ian Brennan said the bodies have not been positively identified. Both were pulled from the water Sunday morning after crews used sonar equipment to find them.

Brennan said the department was informed about people in the water shortly before 6 a.m. Crews rescued a woman who reported through a Spanish-language translator that two men, ages 24 and 27, were still in the water.

Coast Guard officials reported they were contacted by a police officer who saw three people jump into the river.
