Two men were arrested after holding police at bay in Laurel, Maryland, late Saturday night, according to police.
Authorities said three blocks of 8th Street were blocked off after police responded to a report of shots fired. Officials said a man in the 900 block of 8th Street refused to come out of an apartment.
SWAT officers responded to the scene. The suspect and his grandfather surrendered to authorities early Sunday morning. There were no injured reported.
The street is reopened, and residents have returned to their homes. No identities or motive has been released by police.
