Turkey Bowl: Dunbar 12, Anacostia 8

After a fraught run-up to D.C.'s annual Turkey Bowl high school football game, Dunbar High beat Anacostia High, 12-8.

Anacostia High School was a late addition to the game, after Wilson High School was disqualified from the bowl after D.C. Public Schools discovered that one of its players lived in Maryland.

Dunbar will advance to the DCSAA Championship game next week at Howard University.

According to the Washington Post, the last time Anacostia was in the Turkey Bowl was 1997.

And while Dunbar graduate Mayor Vincent Gray was silent on Twitter, at least one D.C. Councilmember was excited about the outcome.
