Truck Driver Crushed by Metal Pallet at Dulles

    A truck driver was killed -- crushed to death --  Wednesday by a metal pallet at Dulles International Airport as he was unloading a trailer in a cargo bay away from the airport terminal.

    The driver, 29-year-old Christopher Young, of Herndon, Va., died at the scene. Airport police investigated and have determined his death was an accident.   

    Young worked for Total Truck Transport, a private company located in Gaithersburg, Md.

    Pallets are the platforms often used to store or move heavy loads. They’re usually made out of wood, plastic or metal.
