Train Takes Off Back of Tractor Trailer

Incident happened in Carroll County

The back end of a tractor trailer was taken off by locomotive on Monday morning.

The incident happened at Hahn railroad crossing north of Route 27 in Carroll County.

According to witnesses, the truck was driving east on Hahn Road when it crossed over the railroad tracks and across the face of an oncoming train.

The train smashed the truck's rear before coming to a stop.

No fatalities have been reported.

The driver of the truck, 63-year-old Thomas Taylor, was charged with several traffic violations.

Hahn Road reopened between Route 27 and Woodward Road after 3 p.m.
