Southern Avenue SE was closed Thursday afternoon after a tractor-trailer crashed into a Pepco pole.
The major thoroughfare the marks the D.C-Maryland border was blocked in both directions at the 800 block as of 4:30 p.m., officials said. The force of the crash crumpled the vehicle's trailer.
No one was injured, a D.C. Fire and EMS Department representative said.
What caused the crash wasn't immediately known.
