A tractor-trailer overturned and lost its load along Maryland Route 200 Monday night, according to a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman.
Images from the Twitter account of Pete Piringer, the chief spokesman for the fire department, showed the accident along the Intercounty Connector. The tractor-trailer was apparently carrying lumber boards when it crashed between the Georgia Avenue exit and the Metro Access Road exit.

Piringer said the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A hazmat crew was called to the scene to assist in cleaning up a small fuel spill.
Some lanes of the westbound ICC in the area were closed. The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m.
