That April 15 tax deadline is looming, and if you're planning to get a refund, there's a decent chance you'll spend it on a car. According to a new CarMax survey, one in six people expecting a tax refund plan to use the money toward buying a car.
That number goes up for people under the age of 35 (29 percent) and parents (26 percent).
About half of those surveyed say they plan to save the money or pay back debt. About 30 percent of people are not expecting a refund at all this year.
