Fairfax County Police are investigating death of a two-year-old boy after he fell from third-story townhouse window in the Reston area Saturday.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in 11000 block of Heritage Oak Court when the boy fell from an open window at the home, according to department spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell.
The toddler was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say a parent as well as another family member were at the home at the time of the incident.
Police are still investigating the incident calling it "an extremely tragic accidental death."
