17 Tires Slashed in Laurel

Police in Laurel are investigating a series of tire slashings that took place late Friday night.

Authorities say that 17 cars each had a single tire slashed. It is believed the incidents took place at approximately 11:30 p.m. Five of the cars were located outside the Sportsmans Pub at 116 Washington Boulevard. A sixth car was located outside the AMF Bowling Lanes at 15013 Baltimore Avenue, while the other 11 cars with slashed tires were discovered outside the Laurel Station Bar & Grill at 14933 Baltimore Avenue.

Police say that a person of interest has been arrested on unrelated charges. It is not known if there are other suspects in the case.
