Thunder Alley Closes DC Streets for Holiday Weekend

As part of the Memorial Day celebration and remembrance, the 2016 Thunder Alley will be held in northwest Washington by the veteran’s group Rolling Thunder.

In conjunction with this event, there will be several street closures, starting Saturday, that motorists should take into consideration. From Saturday to Monday, 22nd Street, Northwest, between C Street and Constitution Avenue, Northwest, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.

Motorists traveling in the area of this event may experience delays and should consider alternative routes, if possible.

Thunder Alley will have a variety of Rolling Thunder T-shirts, food and riding items. Vendors open up at 9 a.m. Saturday. The Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom will be Sunday, starting at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.
