A 17-year-old boy and two adults were shot, and a fourth passenger, an 8-year-old girl, went unharmed.

The girl told police she heard the suspect yell, "Bang!" after firing each shot.

Police say 21-year-old Donchell Thomas of Montgomery Village, Maryland, died at a hospital. The second victim, 20-year-old Derek Price of District Heights, Maryland, died later Sunday evening. Both were shot in the head.

The third victim had multiple gunshot wounds.

Police responded to Fleming's home on W Street a couple of hours following the shooting with guns drawn. Neighbors say an intense standoff ensued, and Fleming was later charged with first-degree murder while armed and assault with intent to kill.

Several neighbors said police frequently respond to the home for various disturbances. Fleming is due back in court later this month -- meanwhile, he's being held behind bars without bond.

About a block away from the shooting on North Capitol Street, three people were injured in a shooting in the 1700 block of Lincoln Road NE Sunday night. All three area expected to be OK. Police have not released any suspect information.

A third shooting was reported around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Police say 22-year-old Delonte Hemphill was fatally shot in the head and neck in the 3500 block of 6 Street SE. There's no word on a suspect or motive.

Sunday night's shooting was the District's 67th homicide this year, a nearly 50-percent increase from this time last year.
