Three Men Shot in Southeast D.C.

Three men are recovering at an area hospital after they were shot in southeast Washington early Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the 2400 block of Elvans Road SE just after 12:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting. According to investigators, two men approached the victims and fired shots at them.

One man was shot in the back, the second in the right arm and thigh and the third man was shot in one of his legs.

All three were conscious and breathing when they were taken to the hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police have not released any suspect information at this time.

The shooting, which remains under investigation, happened blocks away from the scene of a shooting that injured four people Saturday evening. Police are looking for two men in connection with that shooting.
