Three juvenile boys were arrested after police caught them burglarizing a D.C. elementary school.

Officers were called to Adelaide Davis Elementary School in the 4400 block of H Street SE around 8:40 p.m. Friday for reports of a burglary in progress.

Investigators say the three suspects were leaving school grounds when officers arrived. Over the course of the investigation, authorities say the suspects attempted to enter the school with the intent to vandalize it.

The suspects were arrested and charged with Burglary II and Destruction of Property.

There's no word on what they tried to take from the school or if any damage was done.
