Three-Alarm Fire Damages Temple Hills Apartments

A three-alarm fire tore through an Temple Hills apartment complex at about 7 p.m. Saturday night.

Three buildings were affected at the complex on the 3400 block of Brinkley Road. Thirty units were damaged, and 61 adults and 27 kids have been displaced. The Red Cross is helping those residents.

No residents were hurt, but one firefighter suffered heat exhaustion.

Two dogs had to be rescued. Firefighters performed CPR on one dog, which also sustained burn injuries. That dog has been taken to the vet by its owner.

Another dog was rescued unharmed and reunited with its owner.
