Two 3-month-old kittens are missing after a smash-and-grab robbery at a pet supply store in Columbia Heights.
An animal rescue group said someone smashed the plexiglass of the kittens' case and made off with the brother-and-sister tabby kittens around 11 a.m. Monday morning.
The kittens had belonged to Last Chance Animal Rescue, which had made them available for adoption at Columbia Heights' Petco store.
D.C. police released surveillance video images of the suspect this week, along with a video.
