PRESIDENT'S BURGER ADDICTION SPREADS TO FAMILY
Not one to ignore the family need for burgers, Michelle Obama brought Malia and Sasha to lunch at Good Stuff Eatery on Thursday. Patrons dining at the outdoor tables realized right away what was happening, said Felice Robinson, administrative coordinator for Good Stuff Eatery (303 Pennsylvania Ave. S.E). "How are you gonna miss the Secret Service?" she said. (NBC Washington)

"NURSE OF THE YEAR" NOT A NURSE
A 56-year-old woman who was honored at a 2008 dinner as the so-called Connecticut Nursing Association's "Nurse of the Year," was charged with pretending to be a nurse. Prosecutors said Betty Lichtenstein had been had been working in a doctor's office.  According to the arrest warrent, that association does not exist and Lichtenstein spent more than $2,000 of her own money to stage that dinner. THAT EXPLAINS ALL THE YELLING
An autopsy report shows that cocaine use contributed to the heart disease that suddenly killed TV pitchman Billy Mays in June, officials announced Friday. The Hillsborough County medical examiner's office previously determined that the bearded, boisterous TV spokesman had a heart attack in his sleep. His wife found him unresponsive in bed in their Tampa condo June 28. (Yahoo)

TEACHER MAKES KID SMOKE 42 CIGS
A Malaysian teacher forced a student to smoke 42 cigarettes for four hours as punishment after a cigarette and lighter were found in his locker, a news report said Thursday. A school official confirmed that the English teacher subjected the student to the unusual punishment, but said the teenager was made to smoke fewer than 42 cigarettes. He declined to elaborate.
