Two Virginia teenagers are behind bars this morning, accused of plotting to kill one of the teenagers parents.
Prince William County police say they uncovered the plot after responding to the report of a stolen firearm on August 14. The gun was stolen from the parents by their 16-year-old daughter. Police also learned that the daughter had made threats against her parents and other family members.
Police say the girl gave the gun to her 17-year-old boyfriend, who then bragged about the gun on Facebook. It was from those posts that police learned the teens planned to use the gun to kill the girl’s parents.
Both teens are being held without bond. Both are charged with conspiracy to commit murder and grand larceny of a firearm. A court date has not yet been set.
