Teen Who Escaped Juvenile Facility Found in Silver Spring

Maryland State Police say they have found a second teen who escaped from a juvenile detention facility north of Baltimore at a motel in Montgomery County.

Police say the 17-year-old was arrested at the Silver Spring motel around 6 a.m. Wednesday, two days after a pair of teens scaled a fence at Charles H. Hickey School in Parkville and fled north.

State and Baltimore County police searched the wooded area with aviation and police dog units and found one teen Monday night.

Police say members of the Maryland State Apprehension Team, who were involved in the search since the escape, found the teen and he will be returned to the custody of the Department of Juvenile Services.
