Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 700 block of 16th Street, Northeast, on Tuesday.
Around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found an adult man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as Tesean Jermaine Ashe, 18, of southeast Washington.
