Teen Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Waldorf

A 17-year-old boy was struck and killed by a man driving a Lexus in Waldorf, Md.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, but police say a 57-year-old man driving a Lexus struck the boy while he was walking along the westbound side of Berry Road near Cassidy Street.

The driver stayed on scene after the crash.

The teen, identified as Matthew D. Douglas of Waldorf, was hospitalized but later passed away from his injuries.
