A Northern Virginia teen critically injured after falling off a car in a Sterling parking lot has died.
The accident was reported last Tuesday around 10 p.m. in the Ethan Allen parking lot at 45000 Dulles Crossing Plaza. Police say the 17-year-old boy died Friday morning.
Authorities said the teen fell from the trunk area of a Subaru as a man drove it in the parking lot. The teen was trying to record video footage of the ride, but when the driver made a turn, the teen fell off and suffered a serious head injury, authorities said.
Police say the case remains under investigation.
The teen's identity has not been released.
