Car Crashes Into Hotel, Traps Woman

A 19-year-old man crashed his car into a New Jersey hotel room early Sunday morning, pinning a sleeping D.C. woman between the car and a wall.

Police said Ruth Ernst, 77, was sleeping when a 1999 Mercedes Benz barreled into her room at the Holiday Inn in Toms River, N.J. She was trapped for about 20 minutes until rescue crews could free her.

Taras Ostrovskiy, 19, was staying at the hotel after a prom and was in a parking place when police say he drove into the room.

The teen is charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
