A physical education teacher at a private school in Potomac, Maryland, is accused of making illicit videos of a foreign exchange student who was living with him and his family.

Montgomery County police arrested 39-year-old Darrien Tucker Tuesday after the 18-year-old student went to police with videos she had made that police say show Tucker trying to record her in the bathroom.

The woman told police that she saw an Apple iPad being slid under the bathroom door as she was showering May 27 and May 28. The next two days she took her phone into the bathroom with her to record what was happening, police said. On May 31, she placed a video camera in the hall outside the bathroom and recorded Tucker placing the iPad under the door.

Tucker admitted videotaping the woman, police said. He was charged with five counts of conducting visual surveillance of another person in a private place without that person’s consent and with prurient intent. He was released on bond.

Tucker teaches physical education at the McLean School of Maryland. He's been placed on a leave of absence and ordered to stay away from campus and students, the school said.

No attorney for Tucker was listed in online court records, and a message left by the Associated Press at the home listed for him in court records was not immediately returned.
