Taxi Driver Robbed at Gunpoint by Another Driver in Virginia

A taxi cab driver was robbed at gunpoint by another driver in the Ashburn area, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was driving in the area of StoneRidge Apartments about 9:50 p.m. Feb. 29 when the driver of another vehicle ran a stop sign and forced the taxi driver to stop to avoid a crash, the sheriff's office said. The other driver exited his vehicle in the intersection of Broad Vista Terrance and Cornerstone Square and became engaged in an argument with the driver of the taxi.

The victim pulled out his cell phone and took photos of the other driver, and a fight started, according to the sheriff's office. The other driver took took the victim’s money and cellphone after pulling out a gun. He drove away from the scene south on Broad Visa Terrace.

The other driver is described as a black man who is about 220 pounds with an athletic build. He has short black hair and was wearing a black t-shirt.  He drove a burgundy vehicle that is possibly a newer model Lincoln or Chrysler sedan.
