Investigators are trying to figure out what led up to a bizarre crash that ended with two people being transported to the hospital and a taxi cab going all the way into a downtown DC building.

A taxicab crashed into the mail room of a northwest Washington bank Monday morning.

Police say the cab clipped two cars and jumped the curb before completely crashing through the Inter-American Development Bank at 13th and H streets NW just before noon.

The driver and a security guard inside the building was injured. None of the injuries are expected to be life threatening.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
