A bus carrying members of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s family was involved in a minor accident minutes after leaving the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, according to TMZ.
U.S. Park Police confirmed a crash at 15th and Independence avenues but said they don’t know who was involved. No one indicated being a member of King’s family to officers at the scene.
No one was injured in the accident.
It was one of many traffic tie-ups as tens of thousands of people left the National Mall after the event just as rush hour was starting.
