A switch problem caused delays on the Red Line Wednesday evening.
The problem at the Grosvenor station caused delays up to 20 minutes.
Some trains off-loaded at Medical Center and reversed direction. Trains also were held between Shady Grove and NoMa-Gallaudet.
Riders were advised they could use Metrobus Route 46 as an alternative between Medical Center and Grosvenor.
