No Hazardous Material Found at Commerce Building

Fourteenth Street NW was closed from Pennsylvania Avenue to Constitution Avenue in northwest D.C. Friday afternoon due to a suspicious package.

According to reports, authorities responded to a possible hazmat emergency inside the mailroom at the Commerce building.

The suspicious package was cleared before 4 p.m. No hazardous material was found.
