Thieves Steal Car Door, Airbags from Laurel Cars

Several residents of a Laurel, Md., neighborhood woke up Thursday morning missing various car parts -- one man's driver's side car door was gone.

The thieves targeted a subdivision off Bond Mill Road in the West Laurel area Thursday between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., getting away with car parts and accessories from at least a dozen Hondas.

"I just came out and just saw the door [wasn't] there... I mean, it was shocking," one victim told News4.

He said the thieves left behind the bolts of the door, but also managed to get away with his steering wheel's airbag. Another Laurel victim told News4 his steering wheel airbag was also gone, as was his stereo system and air conditioning.

Neighbors spent the day Thursday calling police, who say similar incidents have been reported in the Baltimore area, although it's not clear if they're related.
