Suspects Carjack Woman at Gas Station, Crash Car

Several men are wanted for carjacking and later crashing a woman's Mercedes Benz while she was filling up at a gas station.

Police say the victim left her keys inside the car and her car unlocked while pumping gas at a Sunoco station in the 7500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Seat Pleasant, Md. around 9 a.m. Friday.

Surveillance video shows another car pulling up to the Mercedes Benz. Two men entered the victim's car and drove off -- with the gas pump still inside the car.

The suspects crashed into a Metro Access bus at Southern Avenue and Bass Street in Southeast D.C. shortly after the carjacking. Police say the two men ran from the scene, but left behind the gas nozzle in the back seat.

Officials tell News4 this incident is one of many carjackings that occurred while a driver's car door was unlocked at a gas station.
