A security guard shot and wounded one of the suspects of trying to rob a pawn shop in Suitland, Md.

Two armed people entered the shop in the 4600 block of Silver Hill Road Monday afternoon but were confronted by an armed security guard, sources told News4 Prince George’s County Bureau Chief Tracee Wilkins.

They fled in a Honda Accord with D.C. plates, which on Savannah Street in southeast Washington.

Police took three people into custody, Wilkins reported.

The security guard suffered minor injuries.
