Prince George's County Police have made an arrest in a police-involved shooting that occurred on Sunday.

Police say they placed Joseph Andoh Quarm, 30, under arrest Tuesday morning in Upper Marlboro, Md. Quarm did not resist arrest.

News4 previously reported that police officers were called to a home in the 2600 block of Keating Street in Temple Hills, Md. at around 4 a.m. Sunday for a domestic dispute.

Police say that when officers responded on Sunday, Quarm was seen trying to leave the area and the officers tried to stop him.  Police say Quarm attempted to punch one of the officers and then make his escape, but officers pursued.

During the confrontation, one officer, fearing for her partner’s safety, fired her firearm at the suspect, according to police. The suspect then fled the scene.  That officer has been put on administrative leave in accordance with departmental policy.
