Suspect Arrested in Mr. Fuel Armed Robbery

Gunman is facing charges including attempted capital murder.

Police in Virginia said they've arrested a man caught on surveillance video robbing the Mr. Fuel gas station in Caroline County.

On May 8, a man walked into the station. He began shooting at the cashier's feet when she failed to open the register.

Police say A 61-year-old man in the store at the time tried stopping the suspect, police said. He grabbed two bottles of beer and smashed them over the gunman's head.

The gunman responded by shooting the good Samaritan four times, according to Fredericksburg.com. He then ran out of the store.

The good Samaritan was taken to Mary Washington Hospital, according to the paper. He reportedly has been released. 

Michael Brown, 31, is facing charges including attempted capital murder.
