Major star power boosted a little school in northwest Washington that is working to educate disadvantaged Latino boys.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony paid a visit to San Miguel School on Georgia Avenue. The couple is in town to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, and they wanted to stop at the school to the check on the progess it's making since it opened its new state-of-the-art facilities last month.
The boys were stunned to see their favorite singers and said they were inspired by Marc Anthony's message about the importance of education.
Anthony said that as soon as he walked into the building, he felt the sense that the boys were the future leaders of the country. He told the students that with a good education, anything and everything is possible.
J-Lo even cheered for the school's undeafed soccer team.
The students said that after the couple's visit, they will try harder in all their school subjects, especially the ones they don't like.
