Suburban Hospital Locked Down After Employee's Death

    Montgomery County Police continue to investigate a brutal murder of a man inside Suburban Hospital. (Published Monday, Jan. 3, 2011)

    Suburban Hospital was locked down after an employee's suspicious death in a non-patient area, Montgomery County police said.

    Officers identified the victim as Roosevelt Brockington, Jr.  Police said the body of the 40-year-old male employee had sustained traumatic injuries to his upper body, and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Brockington's family identified him as the hospital's lead engineer.

    At 10:30 a.m., the employee was assaulted at the hospital, police said. The hospital was locked down at about 10:45 a.m. for almost four hours. 

    Ambulances and other emergency vehicles were temporarily rerouted during the investigation.  No visitors or patients were let in our out during the four hour lockdown.
