"He always gave me candy, and he's always, like, nice to everyone," said one student of Melvin Frizzelle, who is regarded by his neighborhood as "the best school bus driver." The man they call "Mr. Melvin" is retiring after 20 years driving for Montgomery County schools, and his students decided they wanted to send him off with the best retirement party they could. There was even a proclamation from state government. "These are my kids, and I'm not going to let anything happen to them. And bless the Lord, nothing has happened," Frizzelle said. News4's Derrick Ward spoke to Frizzelle on his last day on the road.
