Morgan Dana Harrington

Police say the person who killed Morgan Harrington probably knew the area where her body was found.

The 20-year-old Virginia Tech student's remains were found on an Albemarle County farm Jan. 26, more than three months after she disappeared from a rock concert at the University of Virginia.

State Police Lt. Joe Rader said at a news conference Thursday that only a person familiar with the farm or the immediate area
would have dealt with the property's obstacles, including streams, fences and changing terrain.

He said state police have established a new tip line. The phone number is (434) 709-1685.
