If your child is a student at Watkins Mill High school in Gaithersburg, Md., you might be receiving a letter warning about a dangerous disease.
The school confirmed Saturday a student had tuberculosis over the last few weeks.
The infected student was treated and is no longer contagious, but other students who have been in contact with this student should be aware.
School officials said the risk of transmission was low with casual contact, but if your child needs to be tested, the school will notify you.
