A northwest D.C. man is behind bars in Fairfax County, Va., accused of trying to use a stolen credit card to pay for his girlfriend's plastic surgery, police said.

Kevin Tyrone Washington, 46, was arrested Tuesday -- Valentine's Day -- at a doctor's office in Vienna, Va.

Investigators said he went there to pay for some cosmetic enhancements that his girlfriend received in January.

The card number was initially given over the phone, police said. The card company informed the doctor’s office that it was a stolen card. When Washington and his girlfriend arrived at the doctor’s office for the follow-up visit, police were notified and Washington was taken into custody.

Police said he was on probation for an unrelated bad check case.
