An Alexandria police cruiser like this one was stolen overnight and found in Maryland.

Police confirm a police cruiser stolen from Alexandria, Va., overnight was found Friday afternoon in the Fort Washington, Md., area.

The Ford Crown Victoria marked with the number 2618 was taken from the home of an officer in the 2700 block of Duke Street. It had police property inside, including a shotgun.

The vehicle was towed to Alexandria where police will check to see if any of the contents are missing.

No arrest has been made.
