Sterling Man Fatally Shot

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man found shot in a townhome community Thursday.
Police identified the man as Jovaughn J. Johnson, 30, of Sterling, Va.
Sheriff deputies arrived at Great Trail Terrace and Trail Run Terrace around 7 p.m. Thursday after receiving a request for a welfare check. The found the victim inside a 2002 white Mercedes Benz SUV.
According to a press release regarding the investigation, it appears that the shooting was not a random act.
Police are asking anybody who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area to call 703-777-0475.
