Man Stabbed Outside Gallery Place Metro Station

Police looking for 3 juvenile suspects

Police are looking for the teenagers who allegedly stabbed a man Tuesday night during a fight outside the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station.

The 23-year-old victim said he was on his cell phone when one teenager approached and asked to use it after the Washington Wizards game ended just before 10 p.m. When the victim said no, he suddenly was surrounded by four people. They started to hit him in the head and the body, and the victim fought back. During the fight, he was stabbed in the leg with a sharp object.

One entrance to the Metro station was shut down as police investigated.

For years, business owners and patrons have complained about the large number of teens who loiter in the 7th and H streets area.

The 23-year-old victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for suspects.
